The brief
A dental practice on Godalming high street was refitting three surgeries and a decontamination room and needed the electrical work done to a commercial standard — without closing to patients for a fortnight. Each surgery has
serious, specific power needs: chairs, X-ray, compressors, autoclaves and task lighting, all of which have to be reliable and correctly protected. They also needed compliant emergency lighting and testing for their CQC inspection.
What we did
We planned the work in phases and did the disruptive elements out of hours and at weekends so the practice kept running through the week. Each surgery got its own dedicated circuits so no two rooms compete for load and a fault in one never takes down another — critical mid-procedure. We installed correctly-rated supplies for the X-ray and autoclave equipment, clean task lighting over each chair, and a compliant emergency lighting system with the certification and test records their CQC inspection required. The whole installation was tested, certificated to commercial standard, and handed over with a full set of records and labelling. The practice never lost a working day.
