Farnham is the most handsome town we cover and, wiring-wise, the most careful. The Georgian frontages along Castle Street and West Street, the listed houses near the Maltings, the old cottages down towards the Bourne — a lot of these properties come with conservation constraints and wiring that has been added to, patched and layered over a century or more.

That suits us. Working on a listed or period home means chasing cables sympathetically, keeping disruption low, and knowing when a surface run in tasteful trunking beats butchering a lath-and-plaster wall. We’re used to coordinating with conservation officers and to explaining, honestly, what a house genuinely needs versus what it doesn’t. Out towards Wrecclesham, Rowledge and the newer estates at Badshot Lea the work is more familiar — consumer unit upgrades, EV chargers, extension wiring — but the standard is the same.

Farnham is a fair drive from our Godalming yard, so we’re straight with you about it: we tend to batch jobs in the town into the same week rather than dashing over for ten minutes.
