Home charging, wired by the family’s EV specialist.
Jack leads our EV work — he qualified in 2023 and has installed chargers across most of Surrey since. We’ll size the circuit properly, handle the DNO paperwork, and tell you straight if the charger you’ve seen online is the wrong one for your house.

What moves the price
| Factor | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Cable run distance | Under 5m from fusebox to parking is the base price; 5–15m adds £120, over 15m adds £280. |
| Wall and route | Brick and render are straightforward. Routing through a garage adds about £90 in time and materials. |
| Charger supplied by us | Around £550 for a solid 7kW unit with a proper warranty. You’re welcome to supply your own. |
| Your existing supply | Older fuseboxes sometimes need work before a charger can go on safely — we check first, not after. |
Questions we actually get asked
Can I get a grant?
Most homeowners with off-street parking no longer qualify — current schemes mainly cover flats, rented properties and landlords. We’ll tell you if you qualify for any current grant rather than promising discounts that don’t exist.
Do I need three-phase power?
Almost certainly not. A 7kW charger on a normal single-phase supply adds about 25–30 miles of range per hour, which covers the way most people actually drive.
Can it charge from my solar panels?
Yes — several chargers we fit have a solar-matching mode that charges from excess generation. Tell Jack you have panels and he’ll spec around them.
What’s the DNO notification about?
Your District Network Operator must be told when a charger is connected — it affects local grid planning. It’s our job, not yours, and it’s included in the price.
My fusebox looks ancient. Is that a problem?
Sometimes. A charger needs a sound board to connect to, and some older ones need upgrading first. Send the photo — Jack will tell you honestly before anything is booked.
